NotesPainter, seriographer and teacher, Harry Shoulberg was born in Philadelphia in 1903. He studied at the American Art School, and with J. Reed, S. Wilson, C. Holty and H. Glintenkamp. He was a member of the National Seriographers Society, the Art League of America, and United American Artists.

His work has been exhibited at the National Academy of Design, the Library of Congress, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Bronx House in New York, and at a solo show at the Modernage Gallery in 1945.

Shoulberg's art is in permanent collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Denver Art Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Fine Arts, the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Carnegie Institute, the University of Oregon, the University of Arizona, New Jersey State College, Witchita State University and the Butler Art Institute.

He was among the early group of WPA artists working in the screenprint medium, and later turned to oils.
