NotesAuguste Michel Nobillet was born on 8 June 1850 in Vitré to Jean-Michel Nobillet, a railway engineer and entrepreneur and Marie Louise Asselin. He is a student of Verrier and P. Vayson. He was a member of the Société des Artistes Français from 1884 to 1914 and his work was represented at the Salon de la Société. He obtained an honorable mention in 1888. His father acquired in 1865 the estate and castle of Trémigon next to Combourg (35) whose park lined with ponds will inspire on many occasions, the landscape painter. He died on 22 November 1914.
