NotesWillering Epko was born in Netherlands in 1924. He was represented and promoted by French dealer Felix Vercel (Gallerie Vercel) for many years and his works had been collected by many collectors in America, France, Canada, Germany, France, Japan and many countries in South America. He broke the border lines between figurative composition and abstraction with his daring application of bright palette and forms. His talent and artistic expression was recognized and loved in the art circle and collectors and he was awarded with Prix Lefranc in 1958, Prix Othon Friesz and Collector’s Prize in 1950.
