NotesAntal Jancsek was born in 1907 in Budapest, Hungary. He studied at the private school of Artúr Podolini-Volkman, then as a student of Oszkár Glatz, Andor Dudits, János Vaszary. He continued at the Budapest College of Fine Arts. He began exhibiting the early 1930s, a collection of figurative and landscape works in an exhibition that opened in the Budapest National Salon. He was a member of the School of Paris, he painted many scenes of Paris café’s and street scenes. His paintings can be found at in the Hungarian National Gallery. Antal Jancsek passed away in 1985.
