NotesJoseph Saint-Germier was born in Toulouse. He was the son of Antoine Saint-Germier, a painter, and Cécile Bonnement. A student of Alexandre Cabanel and Léon Bonnat, he exhibited at the Salon from 18822. In 1892, he married Mathilde Ludovica Reuter (1864–1956), Leon Bonnat and Ernest Bordes attended the marriage. He died 5 June 1925 in Bayonne at the age of 65.
