NotesSerge Lassus was born in Hendaye on May 7, 1933. Having entered the Applied Arts in Paris, he was received fourth out of 800 candidates. In 1955, he was chosen to illustrate the Paris city's guest book. He already creates gouaches and canvases at leisure, the Basque Coast inspires him. He lived on his property in Bordeaux until 1995 and then left to live in Spain, in the sun. He now lives in Le Cannet. Having devoted his whole life to painting, he has exhibited everywhere in France and on numerous occasions abroad: Tokyo, New York, Osaka, Los Angeles, Kobe, Art Expo NY, Nagoya, Madrid, Tias in Tokyo, Alicante, Oslo, Stuttgart.
