NotesValery Vasilyevich Kormab was a Russian painter and graphic artist. He began to study as an artist in 1945 at the N. S. Samokisha Art School in Simferopol, Crimea (Ukraine). In 1948, he continued his studies at the Moscow State Academic Art School under the guidance of V. N. Baksheev. After graduating from college in 1951, he took an active part in various regional exhibitions, and worked at the Art Fund of the Moscow Region. In 1967 he was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR. Author of numerous landscapes with views of Moscow, still lifes, watercolor sketches. Valery Korban's works are kept in art museums in Saratov, Bryansk, Astrakhan, Irkutsk and other Russian cities, as well as in numerous private collections
