NotesHis natural predisposition for drawing and painting, manifested since childhood, began in the artistic environment created in Anticoli Corrado by his father, the Roman painter Augusto Corelli. He completed regular studies at the Institute of Fine Arts in Rome, obtaining the title of professor, but of greater and decisive importance for him was the teaching of his father with whom he worked, as a privileged student, first in the studio of Anticoli Corrado and then for some years in the one in Rome in Viale Giulio Cesare. At the beginning, following in his father's footsteps, he dedicated himself exclusively to the landscape of the Roman countryside, favoring that of Anticoli; subsequently, following the transfer of his studio from Rome to Acilia, which kept him away from the artistic environment of the capital, his rather reserved and shy character was accentuated, which pushed him towards religious art. Views of the Roman countryside and in particular of Anticoli Corrado; sacred subjects; Roman views; he also succeeded well in the figure. Rather than watercolor, a technique in which his father was an undisputed master, he preferred oil.
