NotesLidya Brodskaya was born in St. Petersburg in 1910. She Studied with her father, the artist Isaak I. Brodsky and later with Nikolai P. Krymov. From 1935 to 1939 she was a volunteer at the Russian Academy of arts in her father’s workshop. Participant in art exhibitions since 1945, she traveled all over the country in the mid-1950s painting landscapes.
People's Artist of the USSR since 1980; awarded the silver medal of the USSR Art Institute in 1981; laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR)
