NotesFrançois Baboulet born April 12, 1914 in Toulouse and died on December 17, 2010 in Paris is a French painter.
The son of Louis Baboulet, inspector general of the PTT, and his wife born Berthe Passerieu, François Baboulet studied at the Caousou college in Toulouse, then entered the Faculty of Law and Letters, was admitted to the School of Fine Arts in Toulouse, then studied at the École des beaux-arts de Paris in the studio of André Devambez (1867-1944).
He was a co-munion at the Quat'z'Arts Ball of 1936, 1939, 1946 and 1947. He was later secretary of the honorary committee of the Quat'z'Arts Ball in 1948.
In 1941, back in Toulouse, he became a teacher at the school of fine arts in the city until 1945, where he returned to Paris. He is involved in the artistic environment of the capital. He is a member of the Society of Saint-Jean for the development of Christian art and became president of the Trois dimensions group at the Galerie Durand-Ruel in 1955-1970, president of the commission of professionalism (which allows an artist to contribute to social security as an artist-author) of the National Foundation of Graphic and Plastic Arts (1964) in the section of painting, vice-president of the Maison des artistes, Foundation Société nationale des beaux-arts Salon ComparaisonsSalon des indépendantsSalon d'automneof the Professionals Association, He was awarded the Silver Medal of the City of Paris on December 14, 1964. His paintings seek to get as close as possible to reality, often in trompe-l’oeil. Its still lifes, in particular, recalls the art of the eeighteenth century.
He was appointed official painter of the Navy in 1973. The National Navy sends it on a mission to the Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon archipelago.
Member of the committee of the Salon du Grenier à sal d'Honfleur in 1998, he was president of the Salon de la Société nationale des beaux-arts at the Carrousel du Louvre in 1999, and president of the Marine 2000 exhibition at the town hall of the 9th arrondissement of Paris.
He died on 17 December 2010 in Paris.
On October 19, 2016, all the works of his studio were sold at auction in Paris at the Hotel Drouot by the Beaussant-Lefèvre study.
