NotesThis remarkable watercolor by Homer most probably had a twin executed on the front cover of the same book perhaps titled Gathering Storm. If such existed, it is now lost. It is worth noting that Homer was well ahead of his time with abstract renderings of landscapes and seascapes that convey feeling rather than detail. Any Homer scholars out there - comments are welcomed.
