NotesThis fanciful, poetic biography in the artist's own words:

First, I was born in 1928, arriving in my parents' home, as an only child, loved. While fishing for memories, figures, images emerge. Starting with friends from the Beaux-Arts in Lyon: COTTAVOZ, TRUPHEMUS, FUSARO, BALDERANIS and how many others furnished this joyful, crazy, expansive period, fortunately mastered by our masters whom we loved and whose work we admired: Mr. CHANCRIN, Mr. VIEILLY, Mr. LAPLACE, Mr. CHARTRES, Mr. PELLOUX. Then it was the suitcase for Paris, with always long stays in Lyon, then later in Rochebaudin. Pictorial approach All of nature, the mountains, the forests, the sea, Paris and its sky, the world did not wait for the painter to reveal all the beauty that emerges from it. Everyone can draw from it the sensations, the emotions that are visible to the beholder. For the first 25 years of work, I claimed to be able to approach this beauty. Then one day came the fault. Humility to the core. The white hole of the canvas. The time of digging. The rout of everything we think we know. The great ignorance. The step by step to the center of ourselves. This unknown. The war with ourselves. The surges of enthusiasm. This long, long call lasts our whole life, knowing that there is no answer except that of knowing that we are on a path - our own. The sensation, this motionless flow will sometimes join the other. The depths of exchange of this most talkative art of silence that is painting pierce and join the heart. All vibrations, whether of rejection or adhesion. Research.
